Time	For a class of about 30 students, about 50 minutes.
Advantages	There is a writing component in this lesson to help reinforce the language.
Note	If you have a big class, it is difficult to make sure everyone is practicing the speaking component diligently.

Use the flashcards to introduce the language. To begin with I ask a question like, 'What's she doing?' 'She's swimming' etc. Then I practice the adjectives fun, dangerous etc. as included in the worksheet as I write them on the blackboard.
I then draw a line from an adjective to a picture and make a sentence, Swimming is fun for example.
I then randomly select students to do the same until all the the adjectives and pictures are connected.
We then practice the language as a class, according to the selections on the blackboard, using the question, 'What's popular?' etc to prompt answers.
I also think it's important to test students individually to make sure they have all been practicing.

Handout the worksheet, the game sheet and the game cards
Tell the students to cut out the game cards.
Using the game sheet the game is played in pairs and is simply an information gap game.
The language, for example, is...
A: What's important?
B: Playing chess is important.
etc.
Any combination is, of course, OK.

Using the worksheet students practice writing the sentences.
An example is given at the top of the page.
This activity can take some time so I generally end up setting the worksheet for homework.
