Advantages	For teachers who want the students to do some writing practice these worksheets provide a format which is simple for students to understand. I find that by doing a little writing after listen and repeat but before the conversation activity helps reinforce the language and students seem to do better at conversation.
Disadvantages	If students don't regularly use Blue Jeans Egg resources, then there are a LOT of different character names to learn in this lesson. For this reason, the names are written on the game cards to help.

Using the flashcards and the question, 'Who's this?' practice the names of all the characters in the lesson.
Begin to arrange your family tree on the blackboard. Make sure you use the flash card of you as a point of reference.
Hand out worksheet 1. Practice the language together.
Tell students to do the writing exercise.
Hand out worksheet 2. Practice the language together.
Tell students to do the writing exercise.

Hand out the game worksheet.
Hand out one strip of the game cards to each student and ask them to cut out their own cards. I pre-cut strips of the cards on a paper guillotine before the lesson.
Pairs of students begin by sitting facing opposite each other with the game worksheets on their desk.
Note: Demonstrating a game is always much better than trying to explain it.
Students play rock, paper, scissors to decide who begins first. Let's call this student (the winner) Student A and the other student Student B.
Student A hides their game worksheet from Student B, by standing a notebook up between the desks.
Student A then places their cards down on their game worksheet to make their family tree.
The AIM of the game is for Student B to ask questions, find out where all these cards are on Student A's game worksheet and place them in corresponding order on their own game worksheet.
When they are finished, they check to see that the cards are the same, swap roles and play the game again.
Spend time practicing the forms on both worksheet 1 and 2.
