| Advantages | Students really enjoy this activity. It was successful in consolidating key points with respect to counting possessive objects with numbers and the use of the plural form. In this sence the lesson has a functional value. The writing activity at the end of the class further consolidates what they have learned. |
| Disadvantages | This lesson does not particularly address social aspects of language. |
Game Preparation
- Hand out the game worksheet.
- Check students are familiar with the objects and practice countable forms.
Game - Information Gap
- Tell students to image a number for each object (a number they are able to speak) and write them in the column titled 'me'. This is the number of each object they will possess during the game.
- Students then write 3 of their friends names in the boxes titled 'friend 1, friend 2, friend 3' respectively.
- They then play and interview game of information gap, and fill out all the boxes.
Writing
- Handout the writing worksheet.
- Tell students to use the information they have collected from the conversation game to fill out the writing worksheet.
- That's it!
